Tour details

Day 1: 0800hrs - Pick up from the hotel and depart for about 2 hour journey passing through countryside, farms, tropical forest and paddy fields. En-route stop over at small town of Serian wet market to buy some groceries for cooking when reach to the longhouse. Then, later have lunch at Lachau. Stroll around the small native market and local shops. Continue journey and on board a native boat for the upriver journey to the longhouse. Upon arrival, settle in and relax while waiting for dinner to be prepare by your guide. After dinner, enjoy the evening with the longhouse folks to hear story about the longhouses, music and join in the traditional dance with round of "Tuak" of their homemade rice wine. Overnight. (Lunch/Dinner)

Note: Very basic type of accommodation with shared bathroom.

Day 2: Morning breakfast, take part in exciting activity such as blowpipe before proceed to a jungle walk with your guide highlighting the various plant that longhouse people used to cook, making traditional medicine and even handicraft. Upriver boat for picnic lunch. Food will be prepared in traditional way cooked in a bamboo. Enjoy swimming or relax by the river. After lunch, head back to the longhouse, freshen up and relax or you can mingle and chit chat with longhouse people or take photo with them. Dinner will be served. Overnight. (Breakfast/Picnic Lunch/Dinner)

Day 3: Morning breakfast. Pack up your belongings and farewell to the longhouse people. Return downriver back to the mainland. Stop for lunch at Lachau then depart back to Kuching and transfer to the hotel. (Breakfast/Lunch)

  • Hat/cap / sunglasses

  • Extra pair change of dry clothes / towel / swim wear / extra toilet paper or tissue
  • Overnight pack waterproof by covering contents with large plastic bags / spare space for putting casual clothes (long trouser/short)
  • Extra cash for personal shopping for souvenir/handicraft
  • Extra snack / enough drinking water
