Tour details

Day 1: Kota Kinabalu Hotel/Kinabalu Park HQ/Timpohon Gate/Panalaban Camp

0630hrs - Pick up from the hotel in Kota Kinabalu and depart for 2hrs drive to Kinabalu Park HQ. 

0830hrs - Upon arrival, registration, collecting packed lunch and a mountain guide will be assisting you for the next journey and get your Tag ID before proceed. Follow your mountain guide to Timpohon Gate which is your starting point for an adventure towards on a quest to the summit of Mount Kinabalu. It will takes about 4-5hrs (depending on your stamina level). Arrival at Panalaban Camp and check in to your accommodation. Buffet dinner will be served at Laban Rata restaurant. Overnight. (Packed Lunch/Dinner)

Day 2: Panalaban Camp / Mount Kinabalu / Kota Kinabalu

Early 0200hrs - Have your early supper and depart towards the summit of Mount Kinabalu. The journey will test your fitness and determination to go on forward. You will experience the magnificent glorious for the sunrise over the Mount Kinabalu (if weather permitted) and this is depending on your speed level to reach to the top. Head back down to Panalaban Camp for late breakfast and check out. Trekking down to reach Timpohon Gate and return to Kinabalu Park HQ where you will be receiving your Certificate on achieving climbing Mount Kinabalu. Buffet lunch will be served in restaurant. After lunch, transfer back to the hotel in Kota Kinabalu. (Supper/Breakfast/Lunch)

Note: If climbers arrive late to restaurant (after 1600hrs) lunch will be converted into packed lunch.

Things to bring/wear for climbing mountain;

  1. Warm clothes / sleeves shirt (Long) / hiking pants
  2. Jacket / wind breaker / Hand gloves / winter hat
  3. Trekking or running shoes with a good grip / sandals
  4. Disposable raincoat
  5. Small towel / personal toiletries / sunblock lotion / lip gloss / extra pair of clothes / socks
  6. Head torch (compulsory)
  7. Bring high enery food (chocolates/nuts/biscuits/sweets/energy bar)
  8. Water bottle (refillable / 0.5-1ltr)
  9. A waterproof backpack to put in your items
  10. If you have extra luggage, it can stored at Kinabalu Park HQ (Chargeable at RM12 per luggage)
  11. Personal medication (headache (tablet) or altitude sickness (tablet) / plaster
  12. Bring extra toilet or tissue paper 
  13. Insect repellent
  14. Waterproof bag for your camera 
  15. Plastic bag
